Ok. Well...
1. School starts on August 18. Thats like a week. And im SOO ready. All i need to do is get me some clothes, a haircut maybe, and then im ready. So this time last year, i was nervous. Very nervous. I was going into the 9th grade, Highschool. I was finally leaving little old middle school. So the first day came, and i think everyone my age was confused, scared, but trying not to show it. Well we got out homeroom teachers name an went to homeroom to get out schedules. This is when my life changed. At that point in my life, i was trying to be a prep. i was trying to be with the popular crowd. i wanted to fit in and i let everyone think for me. If the popular kids got or wanted .something, so did i. Well this all changed when i read my classes to myself my first day of 9th grade.

WHAT?? The class i didnt want the most, i got. I was so mad. I dont like being in front of people.
Wow.
After the first few weeks of school, the Theatre Department had auditions for the Fall show, or "One Act" as they called it, due to the fact that they take it to the One Act Competition. So anyways, i was interested in learning lighting for the theatre. I show up, get to know the people and rehearsals start. The show was "The Diviners" by Jim Leonard Jr. Blake Griggs was cast as Buddy, the lead male role. After the 3rd rehearsal, Blake decided he didnt want to continue with the show because of other things he had going on at the time. Seeing as i was the only guy left that could take over, Mrs Jacobs gave me the part.
I had never been in a show before, and now all of a sudden, i had the lead. I was terrified. I had no clue what to do. Everyone could tell I was nervous, i was shaking and trembling all over.
After weeks of rehearsals, Opening Night rolls around.
Lepers was a show that some of the other girls did. It was really good and i really enjoyed it. They preformed it before Diviners and the whole time i was in the wings praying, shaking and being nervous.
Wow, almost time for my first Line. I was so scared.
To make a long story short, we did 3 preformances and one at the One Act Competition.
We placed second, and I recieved and All Star Cast Award.
I have since been in 3 other shows and been involed with 2 others.
And i love it.
Its amazing how much can change over a year, just becuase of a piece of paper.
and the word Drama.
